Summer 2022 Math Institute
August 2 - 3, 2022 - In-Person - Saluda Shoals The River Center, SC
REGISTRATION is CLOSED
This summer is the perfect time to get re-energized for the upcoming school year. The last couple of years have been challenging and we will feel the ramifications for some time to come. And can we be honest, most of us are spent...mentally, emotionally, and some of us even physically.
CKingEducation's Summer Math Institute is a ways for K - 5 teachers, coaches, and administrators to reconnect with each other, reclaim their passions, and recommit to students using simple ideas that can produce powerful growth.
You will learn to:
Use and track the effectiveness of game-structures and routines to target priority standards
Support learners in understanding word problems using reading comprehension strategies that are NOT gimmicky or acronyms
Use math manipulatives consistently as tools for learning beyond answer-getting
Build number sense and number flexibility through discourse
